New Exhibition Opening Friday, February 6th
Pronkstillevens and Other Spectacular Provender at Minnow Arts presents new collage works, paintings, and sculptures by Christopher Reynolds that examine food as both image and instrument. Drawing from the visual language of Dutch still life paintings, mid-century food photography, and contemporary consumption culture, the exhibition stages food as something excessive, seductive, and politicized. Across media, Reynolds reconfigures familiar forms of abundance and display along with physiological and psychological manipulation, inviting viewers to consider how appetite and taste shape desire, identity, and power.
